Satisfied Students at the Thesis Fair – Record Number of Companies

Hundreds of students attended this year’s fair, which took place in the club premises of Kårhuset Trappan at Campus Norrköping. Companies from both Norrköping and Linköping exhibited, and one of them was Ligna Energy, which is usually based in Norrköping Science Park’s premises at Källvindsgatan 5.

For us, students are important, partly to bring a mix of ages into the company, as students are usually young. But it’s also because we work with new technology and new solutions to old problems, and we want curious people who are driven to solve these and find creative solutions to the them, says John Söderström, marketing director at Ligna Energy.

Another of the companies that exhibited was Optiplan and their subsidiary Optiplan Innovation.

Students are very important to us because we know they have excellent skills, and we are always looking for new employees, says Elin Håkansson, CEO of Optiplan Innovation.

Many students were happily present, and we had a chat with some of them.

I’ve looked into which companies would come here and found some interesting ones. So, I approached them and got more details about their thesis projects. It’s great to be able to ask questions, says Amanda Hult, who is studying media technology at Campus Norrköping.

Oh, I’m so glad I came. I’ve been talking with a couple of companies. They’ve been really friendly and helpful in providing information even though I might not be what they are looking for. So I really appreciate it, says Zoey Zhou who’s studying the master’s program in Design, also at Campus Norrköping.
