They are a part of the growing local film industry in Norrköping and make films for a world wide audience. Producer Albin Pettersson tells Crazy Pictures way of making visual movies. With their two Swedish feature films they have created visual images by combine old school practical technique with the latest digital tools.

15:45 Presentation: ‘Taking Research and Exploratory Projects to Game Production – Opportunities, Challenges and Practical Experience’ – Nora Björklund, Gameplay Programmer and Research Engineer at Embark Studios.

At Embark we have since the company was founded tried to innovate the way we do games. We do this by introducing new technologies and research into our workflows and games. But changing the way we do things can also be disruptive to established ways of working. In this talk we will take a look at the opportunities that research and exploratory projects can bring, as well as the challenges when you are actually trying to get games to users.

16:15 Keynote ‘The Future of Media Production’ – Johanna Björklund, Co-founder and CTO at Aeterna Labs and director at WARA – Media and language.

Recent advancements in generative AI are rewriting the playbook for the media industry by fundamentally altering how media content is created, produced, and distributed. This new technology not only enhances existing workflows, for example, by automating versioning, marketing, and advertising, but also provides new tools that lower the barrier of entry and enable creatives to elevate their art to new levels. In this talk, we outline current trends in Media AI and attempt to sketch the industry’s future in the years to come.
