Sales and Operations in focus during the Workshop Series “Prepare your Business for Future Growth”
To boost companies towards sustainable growth is at the core of Norrköping Science Park. Last week, we wrapped up a workshop series with the aim to equip hardware companies with the strategic insights and operational skills required to succeed in today's competitive landscape.
Over four sessions this spring, six companies gathered at Norrköping Science Park to build on their structures and capabilities within Sales and Operations in the workshop series “Prepare Your Business for Future Growth”. According to mentors Kjell Rundqvist and Owen Holmström, who bring extensive experience and expertise to the table, this focus on Sales and Operations is crucial for successfully establishing a hardware company in the market.
“To analyze future scenarios and define different strategies for Operation such as; the customer offer, manufacturing, material supply, supplier base, creates trust and makes the company relevant to investors, customers and suppliers. The company’s ability to define how a future rollout and ramp up should take place is an important piece of the puzzle in gaining customers’ trust.”
– Kjell Rundqvist, expert in supply chain strategy.“Sales and Operations need to be well planned and aligned so that the company is able to earn the trust and confidence from customers. This will significantly increase the customers willingness to commit to a cooperation with substantial growth potential.”
– Owen Holmström, expert in sales and international business development.
During the series, participants explored Sales and Operations in depth, learning about methodologies, organizational frameworks, and real-world case studies covering topics like:
- Embedding a sales-focused culture
- Optimizing production strategies
- Forming strategic partnerships
By combining these two themes, participants gained a deeper understanding of their interconnection and how they can drive overall business success.
One of the participating companies was N-ink, which manufactures high-performance, eco-friendly conductive inks vital for the electrification of the future. The ink can, for example, boost battery and electric vehicle range and enhance solar cell efficiency and lifespan.
“The series was both insightful and engaging. Guided by two inspiring veterans, the sessions combined knowledge presentations with group discussions, allowing us to explore strategic considerations and operational challenges for big industries, but always put into perspective for start-ups. For N-Ink, these workshops were particularly stimulating, offering fresh perspectives and immediate, actionable insights to drive our growth and success in the market.”
– Marc-Antoine Stoeckel, COO and Co-founder of N-ink.
The company Dyno Robotics, specializing in designing and developing custom robotics and AI solutions, also enjoyed the series.
“I gained valuable knowledge from seasoned professionals, and networking and hearing stories from other participants about their company’s current journey. It was a good mix that provided both insights and makes you reflect on how to work with sales and operations.”
– Christoffer Johannesson, Navigation Engineer at Dyno Robotics.
