69 miljoner kronor tilldelas nu Westra Materials via EU:s acceleratorprogram och stärker därmed bolagets fortsatta satsning i Norrköping, där företaget har sin verksamhet i Norrköping Science Parks lokaler. Investeringen möjliggör både fortsatt utveckling av PFAS-fria batterimaterial och en uppskalning av produktionen, med nya arbetstillfällen och fördjupade lokala samarbeten som följd. Vi tog tillfället i akt och ställde några frågor till bolagets VD Daniel Westling om denna fantastiska nyhet.

Over the past three years, Norrköping Science Park has been part of the Bridging4Growth initiative that has supported small and medium-sized enterprises in the Nordic and Baltic region to take concrete steps towards international markets. At a time marked by post-pandemic uncertainty and geopolitical instability, the project set out to lower the threshold for companies to explore export opportunities beyond the EU, and to turn ambition into action. As the project now comes to an end, leaving behind both measurable results and a strong foundation for continued international collaboration.

Last week, Norrköping Science Park hosted an international study visit in Norrköping as part of IAS Business Academy, an EU-funded cooperation programme supporting companies within innovative aerial services and drone technology on their international growth journey. Participants from across the Central Baltic region gathered for several intensive days focused on knowledge exchange, business development and collaboration.
