Green energy is essential for achieving many of the Sustainable Development Goals. Today’s growing demand and production of electronics generates vast amounts of electronic waste, harming nature, and our future. By using new materials and technology, companies are reducing the use of harmful substances like heavy metals and striving to minimize waste from manufacturing.
Purpose of project
HOPE is an EU-funded project with the aim to:
Accelerate business growth of small and medium-sized companies in the field of printed and organic electronics.
Stimulate demand from industries that can benefit from the technology.
Skill supply by creating interest in a technology with potential to make the planet greener.
Expected result
Over 20 years of world-leading research in printed and organic electronics at Campus Norrköping, Linköping University, has led to tangible opportunities for industrialization, job creation, and attractiveness.
HOPE is established to spark the competitiveness of Norrköping and the region with a goal of 25 startups, scale-ups, and established companies by 2025. The long-term goal is to elevate the companies into sustainable, thriving businesses, setting the stage for a new green industry in Norrköping.

Innovation Lab and Showroom
As part of the HOPE meeting space, an Innovation Lab has been established and serves as a hub for students who want to experiment with their ideas and create simple prototypes. A Showroom is currently under construction to give companies the opportunity to showcase what is possible with the technology in a shared environment.
Training
To strengthen the companies’ development and ability to grow we have conducted training programs and coaching sessions with mentors in areas such as industrialization, supply chain, sales, and marketing.
