Intelligent Connected Cities (ICC)

Opening doors for SME global expansion in Singapore, Saudi Arabia & the Philippines

Purpose of project

Intelligent Connected Cities (ICC) aims to approach export by choosing existing development initiatives as a framework. The project supports hands-on export activities for three selected themes, which are:

  1. Green Singapore 2030
  2. Saudi Vision 2030
  3. Philippine Development Plan 2024-2028.

Companies in the programme recieve:

  • Access to market insights and support from local business experts

  • Participation in business missions to Singapore, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines

  • Exposure to customer needs and opportunities linked to national development plans

  • Networking with fellow SMEs to approach markets jointly as a Nordic-Baltic front

Expected results

By the end of the project we are expected to see not only individual contracts between Central Baltic Area SMEs and Customer at target areas, but also knowledge sharing and approaching as joint front from Nordic-Baltic to large business opportunities in growing markets.

  • Funding: Interreg Central Baltic Programme, with co-financing from project partners
  • Partners: Norrköping Science Park (Sweden), Business Tampere (Finland), Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (Estonia) and Latvian IT Cluster (Latvia)
  • Project Period: 01.08.2025 – 31.07.2028

  • Internationalization

    21 companies take the next step internationally after Scaleup Launchpad

    The Scaleup Launchpad project has now concluded after two intensive program rounds and close collaboration across national borders. In total, 28 companies from Sweden, Finland, and Estonia participated. Of these, 21 have reached the scaleup stage and are now better equipped for continued growth and internationalization.

    Three new international projects approved!

    After two successful years with three internationalization projects within the Central Baltic program, we are now excited to announce that we have received three more! This is a unique achievement - it was already rare for a Swedish organization to be awarded three projects initially, and now we have done it again. With a total of six Central Baltic projects, we strengthen our role as a strong international player and continue to enhance the opportunities for companies to grow in the global market.
