In the Central Baltic region, many startups are ready to take the next step, from startup to scaleup. Yet, most support systems still focus on the early stages, leaving growth companies without the tools, networks and guidance they need. Scaleup Launchpad addresses this gap by providing a cross-border growth programme in Norrköping (Sweden), Tampere (Finland) and Tartu (Estonia). By connecting cities, science parks and experts, the project helps companies unlock international opportunities and grow sustainably.
Purpose of project
The purpose of Scaleup Launchpad is to support companies with proven business models and growth potential in their journey towards becoming scaleups. The programme focuses on businesses offering solutions for the green transition and smart, sustainable cities. Through mentoring, workshops, peer learning and access to international testbeds, participating companies gain the knowledge and support they need to scale successfully.
Companies in the programme recieve:
-
Participation in business delegations and cross-border workshops in Norrköping, Tampere and Tartu
-
Up to 30 hours of mentorship with experienced experts
-
Access to a tailored scaleup analytics tool with consultation and follow-up
-
Opportunities for piloting in real-life city testbeds
-
Peer learning and networking with fellow growth companies
-
Online masterclasses and seminars
Expected results
By the end of the project, Scaleup Launchpad will have supported around 20 companies through two full-scale programmes. At least 15 companies are expected to reach scaleup status, meaning they secure investments, enter new markets or significantly expand their teams. The project will also strengthen cross-border collaboration between Norrköping, Tampere and Tartu, creating lasting connections and a transferable model for future scaleup support.
