Creating positive change
We have a strong belief: when research, technology, and entrepreneurship come together, opportunities arise to develop society for the better. This is where competitiveness is born, along with knowledge-intensive jobs and new, sustainable solutions. Norrköping and Sweden need more innovative companies that grow – and we are here to help them do just that.
Norrköping Science Park is an enabler in the commercialization of research and innovation. We make it easier for both new and established companies, as well as the public sector, to grow and evolve with a focus on modern technology.
Our focus areas are Visualization & AI, Electronics, and LogTech. Within these fields, the research at Campus Norrköping (Linköping University) is world-leading, providing a strong foundation for innovative ideas and knowledge with the potential to become solutions that create real impact in society.
Our roots
Our home, Norrköping’s Industrial Landscape, is unique in Europe. Here, the Motala River rushes past grand factory buildings in the heart of the city. During the 19th and 20th centuries, this landscape was a thriving hub for the textile and paper industry, employing thousands of people.
By the late 20th century, the machines fell silent, and the factory district stood empty. That’s when the idea of a data and knowledge center was born. The vision was to bring together education, businesses, and top expertise to shape the industries of the future.
In 1991, Norrköping Science Park (then ProNova Science Park) was founded, and just a few years later, Campus Norrköping was inaugurated – two key milestones toward the vision of a Knowledge Landscape.
Today, the Industrial Landscape remains a striking reminder of the city’s history, but inside the former factories, innovative companies thrive, some of Sweden’s largest research programs are conducted, and future talents are being educated.

The board
Norrköping Science Park AB is owned by Rådhus AB, which is the parent company of Norrköping Municipality’s group of companies. Norrköping Science Park is financed partly from the municipality of Norrköping and partly from so-called project funds, money directed towards our activities from the EU or national organizations, so that we can work for business development in our region in various time-limited projects.
