Is Your Company Ready to Win Business in Asia and the Middle East?

Norrköping Science Park and its partners are looking for ambitious SMEs from the Central Baltic region that want to explore new markets beyond Europe. Through the Intelligent Connected Cities (ICC) project, selected companies will gain hands-on support to identify and develop business opportunities in Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines — three of the world's most dynamic and fast-growing economies.

Intelligent Connected Cities (ICC) is an international collaboration funded by the Interreg Central Baltic Programme, running from August 2025 to July 2028. The project brings together four partner organisations across Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia to support SMEs in accessing large-scale business opportunities in three target markets.

The project is built around three national development initiatives that create significant demand for innovative solutions from Nordic-Baltic companies:

  • Green Singapore 2030
  • Saudi Vision 2030
  • Philippine Development Plan 2024–2028

Companies accepted into the programme receive access to market insights and local business expertise, participation in business missions, and the chance to approach these markets together as a joint Nordic-Baltic front — strengthening their position and credibility with potential customers.

Spotlight: Singapore

Singapore is one of the ICC project’s primary focus markets, and for good reason. As Southeast Asia’s leading business hub, Singapore offers a highly developed ecosystem, transparent regulatory environment, and a government actively investing in smart, sustainable urban development through its Green Plan 2030.

For Nordic-Baltic SMEs, Singapore serves both as a direct market and as a strategic gateway into the wider Southeast Asian region. The country’s strong emphasis on innovation, cleantech, smart city solutions, and digital transformation creates concrete entry points for companies with relevant expertise.

Webinar: Meet the Market Experts — 20 May 2026

On 20 May, ICC is hosting a webinar where market experts from Singapore will introduce themselves and share their expertise. The session is primarily aimed at companies already accepted into the ICC programme, but it is also open to anyone who is curious about the markets or considering whether the programme could be the right fit for their company.

This is a great chance to get a first impression of the local expertise available through ICC and to ask questions.

When: Tuesday 20 May 2026

Cross-Border Growth Forum in Helsinki — 4 June 2026

A great opportunity to explore all three ICC markets is coming up with the Cross-Border Growth Forum: Unlocking Singapore, Philippines & Saudi Arabia in Helsinki. The event covers all three target markets and includes dedicated country-specific sessions — including one for Singapore — where you can go deeper into the opportunities and meet others with the same interest.

When: Thursday 4 June 2026, 11:30–17:00

Location: Helsinki City Centre (venue to be confirmed)

You will hear from local market experts, learn about entry strategies, and connect with other companies considering these markets. You are welcome to attend even if you have not yet applied to the ICC project — the forum is a great way to learn more and decide whether the programme is the right fit for your company.

Delegation Trip to Singapore — October 2026

Later in the year, ICC will organise a business delegation trip to Singapore during the last week of October 2026. This is your opportunity to meet potential customers and partners on the ground, attend targeted business meetings, and gain first-hand experience of the Singapore market.

The delegation will be designed to give participating companies maximum exposure to relevant opportunities aligned with the Green Singapore 2030 agenda and the national development priorities that ICC is focused on.
